Halloween Party

I have a Halloween Party every year and this was the best one yet! we had so much fun the party wasn't over until 6:15am. I look forward to seeing everyones costumes each year. I always tell everyone not to tell me what they are going to be because I love to be surprised. Congrats to Brian and Jenny for best costume. Jenny also made my dogs costumes and she did an AWESOME job, they just did not want to keep them on. we were Goldie Locks and the three bears.

I just wish Phillip was there.

Big Dam Bridge Race in Little Rock, AR

Angie and I rode in the Big Dam Bridge bike race on Saturday, September 27 in Little Rock. We had so much fun. We rode 50 miles and we finished in 2hrs 48mins 57secs!!! no flats but I WIPEDOUT! Angie had a headache and at our 25 miles turn around/ snack/drink station she asked an old man fire fighter (should of found a good looking young firefigher, he would have given it to us:-) )for some Tylenol and he said they were not allowed to give any medicine out. so we see a grocery store right after we leave there and Angie said I bet they have Tylenol and I said you wanna stop, she says yes. I was in front of her and had to brake pretty hard to make the turn and I turned way to fast b/c it was dirt with gravel and my tire just slide and I couldn't clip out in time so I just fell over with my shoes still clipped in. my right leg has a little road rash. its a good thing I had padded gloves on b/c I tried to break my fall with my hands (you would think I wouldn't do that since that is how I broke my wrist) anyway my hands are sore but ok and I have bruises where the bike fell on my leg and my arm. I was ok and we finished. It's kinda funny now. they said I fell gracefully.
I wore my Air Force jersey and this guy went by us with his air force jersey on and he said GO AIR FORCE and I said WOO HOO! we had a blackhawk fly over to start the race then we had military guys shot off to start.

Dutchess breaks out of the house!

Yesterday was one the the scariest days of my life!
Dutchess breaks out of the house!
I am at work, about 8:15am Annette tells me I have a phone call and that they asked for Melissa Coleman. I thought that was odd. I get on the phone and my neighbor, Shirley, tells me that she has Dutchess, and that Dutchess got out of the house somehow. Shirley tells me that she put her in my backyard. I am in a PANIC and I drive like a crazy woman while talking to my mom on the phone crying hysterically not knowing how Dutchess got out and wondering
where Hercules and Lucky are?? my mom is trying to calm me down and it is NOT working. I fly around the corner to the front of my house to see the busted screen on the window, I ran to the door and slammed it to see Lucky on the couch and hear Herc jumping up like a kangaroo that I am home. I ran to the back and saw Dutchess in the yard. I just started crying.
I calmed down and got on to Dutchess and went back in the house to find my front door wide open and see Herc across the street in my neighbors yard. I panic again, I run outside barefoot and I called him and went toward him and he ran from me. I knew I had to stay calm or he would not come to me. He finally went to my car (see in picture) and I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride and he stayed at the car until I got him. I grabbed his collar and we went into the house.
THIS HAS NOT BEEN A GOOD MORNING! I am so glad my dogs are all ok but I about had a heart attack!
